We Have a PICC...

Yeah! They were able to place the PICC line with minimal issues. There was some issue with getting the femoral line out when it needed to come out and because of this we all need to say an extra prayer that this new line does not get infected. Gavin is still pretty out of it and most likely will be at least until the morning.

It's been another rough day around here. We really are all just so tired. Thinking of spending the weekend here is almost overwhelming at his point. We are just trying to take one day at a time but it's pretty darn difficult.

Thanks so much for supporting us through yet another difficult time.

Father God...you know more intimately than Karen can express the weariness. Father be all that they each need to endure...let there be moments of joy for each of them...moments where they sense Your embrace...God I can not even imagine...but You know...hear her hearts cry, be her strength...let there be some quality sleep tonight. Thank You that You go before them...Rejoice always..hmmm...indeed...they are Yours...thank You for that. Cause Your peace to fall upon them in Jesus name, AMEN

I'm so sorry- we are new to your blog but also understand intimately hospital weariness. I hope you do get home soon. I'm very glad you were able to get a PICC- i know how nerve-wracking that can be- my 3 yr old is out of PICC access and has lost most of her central line access too... its scary waiting on the new "life line"...

Hooray for the PICC access! Praise God! Praying for God's continued grace and strength for your family. Thank you for sharing the pictures of Gavin's birthday. You continue to minister to others as you reach out and share your family's struggle here on this blog. Thanks again! Be blessed and be safe in Him! ~Debbie Heisey
