IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS, I bless you all! I have never met your family, but for the past 1 1/2 I have been praying for you all. Our girls and I mailed birthday cards to Maddie. Your precious Gavin has blessed me and encouraged me to keep fighting for the orphans in Kazakhstan. Your faith in the midst of such pain and suffering has made me speechless, and I knew it could only come from our Faithful Father in heaven and His mighty hand. PRAISE be to God that Gavin is healed. May He continue to heal all your hearts and may Gavin's testimony bring people to know their Savior! Tears are streaming down my cheeks, not because of sorrow, but because I know You both have hope in our RISEN CHRIST! Karen I was so upset not to be able to make the services today as I am in Tampa. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My heart aches too but knowing that gavin is with jesus healed is a blessing. He was definately a "little fighter"! I have been blessed to know such a great family and an adorable fun little guy! Cherish your wonderful memories! Your great parents with wonderful children :-)

Karen---I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and your family...I just discovered your blog today and I am overwhelmed by the beauty of your children in photographs and by your raw emotion. I'm so thankful that we do not mourn as those who have no hope. Gavin exuded hope, joy and the kind of life that only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. His smile and countenance was infectious. The hope in his little heart lives on because Christ died and rose again to given Gavin and the world that hope. To live is Christ, but to die is gain. I will look forward to meeting little Gavin in heaven and hearing his story. In the meantime, I will pray for you and your family. And, I hope that my life could impact others the way his life (through your blog) has impacted mine. Many blessings!

WOW - Where would one begin other than to say that there is no doubt in my mind that the glory of God surely shines through this family!! Adam, Karen and Madison my prayers go out to you as you both grieve and celebrate that wonderful gift from God! As you stated Karen, he is truly healed. I know that today Gavin is in the hand of our Lord and Savior and that you his loving family is in the other. Gavin will be forever there and when the time is right the Lord will set you all down to continue your life's journey here on earth. Then one day you will all be reunited in His kingdom. And what a testimony that you are to what He represents. Gavin's work on earth is not complete because that will continue through the 3 of you. My mind immediately goes to thinking about story of Job. You are simply amazing people.I had the pleasure of meeting Gavin oh so briefly during the last Christmas season, and there was no denying that God was at work in your family!! God Bless you all and now you can go and celebrate his life at the same intensity that Gavin lived his! Gavin rest in peace, rest in peace!

I have created a special page on Sam’s site which is a short tribute to Gavin. The pictures in the video are some of my favorites from his website. Almost all were taken by Karen Owens. The music will be familiar to those of you who visited our site in the early days. It used to be the background music on Sam’s site before Omegaven, the days when we weren’t sure if Sam was going to live to see his first birthday.
